Removing Late payments on a student loan while in school
Ok so here's the deal, in 2010 I started college and took out some student loans. I stopped attending school for a little time during which time I made my student loan payments. I resumed in 2011 and continued going to school till august 2013. In December 2013 my credit shows I was 90 days past due then January 120 & febuary 150. All my other student loans do not reflect this & I believe there was a mistake with the grace period being extended as it looks like payments started being due the same month I graduated. I have a 99% on time status and a 729 credit score & 3 missed payments. I've tried filing a dispute but the options don't explain the matter fully & it comes back as accurate. What would be the best option for me as I'm planning on starting medical school next year & will need private student loans so I'm trying to boost my credit any way I can. Thanks for the help.
