Removing a public record in New Jersey
5 years ago i got in a little legal trouble and i now have a public record for not paying legal fees. These fees have since been paid and i was looking for a way to have this removed from my credit report. I have all the paperwork saying all fees have been paid. Is it just a waiting game now or is there a way i can get this blemish removed

It should fall off 7 years from date you paid it.  However, you can write to the bureaus, tell them it's been paid & released and ask them to remove it.  No guarantees but I've seen it work.  Best of luck!
