How do I get a paid tax lien off my credit report? How long do they stay on after being paid?

In general, anything to do with

a court, government or Taxes will stay on your report for 10 years.  It should show the status as paid or closed.

And no, you generally can't get these removed from your report. Don't be to disheartened though, The longer in the past it becomes the less it will effect your score.

Keep up all payments reported as "on time" for 2 years and your score should be as if it never happened.  You'll be rewarded for the good behavior.

Good luck
