Remove Son from Credit Card Account
We have our son on one of our credit card accounts. He wants us to remove him from the account since he now has his own credit cards. Will removing him from our account hurt his credit rating?

It may reduce his "average age of accounts" if the card of yours he is on is much older than his cards. It will also take away some of his available credit which can cause his credit utilization to rise if he has a balance on any of his cards. If he wants to be removed, then remove him, it is better a person builds his own credit anyway as it will be valued more and better protected. Worst case, if the damage is terrible, he could always be added back on later if your lender would do so.
