Removal of Old Collection Reports
I had a credit card in collections in December of 2011 and paid it off to the collector in January of 2012 how do I find out when exactly this will be removed from my credit and is there a way to remove it sooner?

It takes time

Seven years from the date the accounts were paid in full, to be exact, because that is the time frame for your credit history that most potential credit accounts consider before granting credit.  The only way they could possibly have been removed before then would have been if you had negotiated a 'pay for delete' agreement with the collector.prior to making the final payments.  Just keep all current credit accounts youp may have paid on timie and that will help a lot until after this account drops off.
