Owning assets and how they contribute to my credit score
I own my home. Paid cash for my car. How is this reflected in the almighty credit score? Do I need to take out a mortgage. At a glance my score shows only the 2 credit cards I occasionally use and an IRA. What are my options to show these assets?

Assets have nothing to do with credit.  How you use and repay borrowed money (which is actually what you are doing when you use a credit card or a personal loan) is what credit really is and is a measure of how well you can be trusted to repay a debt.
