Bk's typically stay on your credit for 10 years from the date it was filed. Most chapter's require a 5 year repayment plan.

Bankruptcy is a legal action that was filed with the court.  Though it was dropped, it was still filed and may remain for 10 years unless you received something from the court stating the date it was dropped.
Then you may be able to send a photocopy of that letter to the credit bureaus reporting the bankruptcy and request removal of it.  No guarantee it will work but it would be worth a try.
