Opinions on personal loans
I'm thinking of taking a personal loan to consolidate my credit card debt. Not sure it's a good idea. Would be interested in peoples opinions if they've taken one out for debt consolidation and if they think it was a wise choice.

All depends on how well you can manage your credit.  It will help by dropping your revolving utilization and shifting all to installment debt.  However, if you run up your cards again you'll be in much worse trouble then when you started.  These loans can be difficult to get if you have high revolving utilization.
