you are showing an account on my report which is not mine. It is my son's and I am not on his card. How do I get it off report? (HSBC limit 11k)

You need to write letters to all three credit bureaus and tell them your son's file has gotten mixed up with yours.  You MUST send them proof of your ID, such as a copy of your driver's license, and social security card (it is perfectly safe to send them this info).  This is one of the toughest things to correct, so you may have to write 2-3 letters to get it fixed, but be persistent, send your ID each time you send letters and eventually they will get it fixed.  Your son should check his report as well - visit www.annualcreditreport.com to pull your reports.  Best of luck!
