Negative Account Withdrawn - Can I keep it that way?
I disputed an account in collections and received this letter from the debt holder:

"Our files indicate your account is in dispute. Since we haven't had sufficient time to complete our investigation of the dispute we are Withdrawing the account. Once verification is received, we will forward a copy to you and resume Collection activity."

They appear to have not been able to confirm the account within the legally allotted time of 30 days. Is there anything I can do to force them to permanently close this account and prevent them from their plans to 'resume Collection activity."?

Thanks in advance
