My eqifax score dropped by 55 points today.
My eqifax score dropped by 55 points today. The Transunion stayed the same. My credit card usage went from around 28% to almost 50%. Could that be what caused the drop? I went online immediately and paid it down.

That increased usage is precisely why your score dropped.  Strive to keep your usage at or below 10% for the highest score.

Yes, that could have been enough to cause the drop. You get penalized pretty good for high utilization on credit cards.
