You need to pull your credit reports

Helpful to 2 out of 3 people

Start off by pulling your credit report from all three credit bureaus and see what collections or other items are negatively impacting your credit score. Each item lists the name, contact number, and basic information so you can contact them to settle or dispute it. If you don't recognize it then dispute it and if they cannot verify your debt in 30 days it falls off. If they can verify the debt just set up a pay for deletion deal and get it in writing before paying. Remember you need to give them your account number for each item to dispute and it's found on the credit report. Good luck...
