Does the other site use the same scoring model? Credit Karma uses Vantage 3. Does the other site use a FICO score? Think of it as checking the termperature. If you have two thermometers in the room but one says 0 and the other says 32, they are probably using different scales (Fahrenheit v Celsius). Same with credit scores--both give accurate information but the scales are different.
Even if you're getting the same scoring model, say Vantage 3, the score from different bureaus is likely to be different because many creditors will only report to one or two bureaus. For instance, on CK my TU report shows half the number of inquiries as my EQ report, and that's one reason my score is a little different.
