motgage on report not mine
When I was married, we purchased a house. In the divorce, he kept the house but never changed it over to his name only. It is in the decree but it is still on my credit report. My score is 622 and I would like to purchase a home of my own in the next year or so. He makes his payments on time so that is not an issue. I only make $23175 a year in taxable income and the rest is child support and SSI for my daughter. Should I have the mortgage removed because it is going against my credit v income, leave it alone, or submit an explanation and copy of the divorce decree to show that it is not mine and why it is there?
