Simply being a citizen does not give you a credit profie. You have to use credit in order to build credit history. A good place for you to start is by getting a secured credit card. Also be aware that not all creditors report to credit bureaus, so make sure a lender does before you apply for credit with them and then you can be sure that your payments will help grow your score.
