It all depends on how much you want to pay off, what's left after making that payment, and how much impact you would get for selling stocks (i.e. tax on the profits).  If paying off the card debt meant more breathing room for you and you can put aside an amount you think you might pay for the tax part on returns next year, go for it.

Only you and/or your financial advisor can determine that.  It depends on the amount and interest rate of debt, and interest earned on the investments.
