Is my husband's credit tied to mine?
We have a credit card with both of our names on it. His credit keeps going up, where I still don't have a history. Do I need to do something else?

That's not how it works.  Each person has their own credit.  A joint account simply reports to each person's credit.  The standard factors affecting credit are:

If you want to improve you credit then you need to work on those factors.  How many accounts are in your name versus your husband?  How old are your husband's accounts versus yours?  How is your husband's revolving utilization versus yours?
