Is it possible to have a collection removed 9 months earlier than the 7 year limit?
I have a debt that is set to fall off around June - July 2016. Does anyone know if collection agency/credit bureaus have mercy on people and remove items a bit earlier than usual? It's my biggest of two debts, $3K.

Possible, but not typical. What you are referring to is "Early Exclusion". Transunion will typically grant an early exclusion request at six months prior to the seven year mark and Experian and Equifax will usually only go three months prior to the seven year mark. There are reports of people getting early exclusions earlier though on all of them. I guess you will just have to try. Do some research on "Early Exclusion" to get the info you need on this.
