Is it better to get a CC from your bank, or somewhere else?

That is not a question anyone except yourself can answer.  A lot depends on your scores, and history with your bank.  I have found generally I get better limits and rates and perks from non-bank cards. but then I typically have a score of over 750 with good types and amounts of credit.  Read a lot here in CK, learn before you apply, The last thing you want to do with starting on your credit history scores, is get a lot of hard inquiries trying to get a card you dont like.
