Inaccurate Transunion credit score?
My first report shows a score below 800. This is disturbing, because just a few months ago, individual checks of all three major credit bureaus showed scores of around 825. My payment history is perfect and hasn't changed, so why the lower score on Transunion?

Also, I had assumed that my CreditKarma subscription would give access to the individual scores from Equifax and the others.

The difference

Your fico score is about 5% higher than the score here.  The differnces between non ficos could be anything.  Only use non ficos as a general guide.  If your non fico goes up or down it is likely so with fico.  Discover card's fico is said to be slanted towards revolving credit.  The fico used to set your mortage rate is the most significant.  There are a few banks that give ficos monthly with a checking account.  You can google these.  One gives your true experian score, anothers give an equifax fico but i dont know if it is a mortage rate setting one or something like discover's transunion.

Hi Getnodebt,

TransUnion offers many different score models, which can account for the variation in scores. Each models weighs various factors differently. We provide the VantageScore model and the New Account model. It's important to compare apples to apples and only compare scores calculated using the same formula. Here's an article that discusses differences in score: https://www.creditkarma.com/article/differentscores

www.creditsesame.com has the Experian data and www.quizzle.com has the Equifax data if you want to see your scores from the other 2 bureaus.  These are not FICO scores though, these will be similar to the CK scores, used for education only.
