The fact that you did not complete the course or that you did not finish school or did not secure a degree has no bearing on the status of the student loan you secure.  The debt remains valid.   The only recourse is if the school was in failure in any way; and you take legal action; you would have them refund the amount that you can in turn use to pay off the student loan.  In the meantime you still have to make any payments which are due for the student loan.
