Do you only have one credit card? The way your credit gets hurt is if you apply and they do a hard pull on the credit. Also, it hurts your score if you add too many cards within a few months so hopefully you had your other card for over a year.  It can still help you though since it will increase you credit limits as long as you don't max out the new card. This is a bigger positive than the negative on getting your credit pulled, also some place do not do a hard pull on credit so it doesn't reflect that your credit is pulled. Check with the place you apply if they do a hard pull or soft pull.
