if credit card debt and it is sold to another agency and you pay them does it come off your report.
I have items that are credit cards that have been sold off. They balances still show on my credit reports for the original debtor. If I pay the new debtors, will those amounts go to $0-

If the accounts were sold

Then the old accounts should show a 0 balance.  Once you have settled with the collection agencies (Try an "offer and compromise" first. Google it for a template and more info) if those balances still show, then file a dispute with the credit bureau.  That should clear them up.
