I would like to close 2-3 of my youngest credit cards, 1 just 2 months old. Good or bad idea?

Bad Idea.

Whatever the credit limits are on those cards will be removed from the total of your credit and that will reduce your score.  Instead, put a regularly recurring bill (TV, cell phone, monthly insurance) on each of the cards, then pay the cards every mon th.  Will keep the accounts active and keep your score up without increasing your debt, because you're already paying those bills anyway.  Makes the credit cards work for youi.  And, if you can, have the card payments automatically deducted from your checking account.  That works great!!
