I want to pay off some open collection accounts. Who do I pay the money too?
Do I pay the original creditor or the collections agency?

You can ask the original lender if they will still accept payment on the account, most likely they will tell you no and that you need to deal with the collection company. While "pay for delete agreements" won't work with banks and such, they can sometimes work with collection companies, so do some reading on them. Also read about the "seven year credit reporting time" "statute of limitations to be sued for debt in your state" "FDCPA (fair debt collection practices act).
