BAD!!

Only because you would be removing whatever the credit limit is on that card from the total credit limit you have.  The more credit you have available, the higher your credit score.  You definitely don't have to use all the credit, just have it 'on the books'.  Just keep the unused card in a safe place, maybe use it once in a while and pay it in full when the bill comes in (just to keep that credit line active). I have a few cards that have a high interest rate and this is what I am doing, which has helped my credit score.
