You should file a dispute and request that the creditor validate the debt and include the fact of the age as well as the statute of limitations for you state.  15 years is far outside the the statute of limitations of amost every state.   The fact that the collection agent would have to validate the debt within 30 days and the item being 15 years old, this will probably show to be time consuming and will probably find that it will be removed based upon non response.
