They ( the Credit Card Company ) is hoping you do one of 2 things. 

1) Balance Transfer and never finish paying off the Balance before the end of 9 months then they can make money off you. 

2) you Charge items durning the 9 months and don't pay off the balance in full,  they again they can make money off you. 

Where do Credit Card companies make Money, 

* Every time you Swipe the Credit Card they make something off the merchant

* Annal Fee's if any   

* Over the Limit Fees 

* Late Fee's

* Cash Advance Fees

* Interest when you carry a balance.
