There are many scoring models for credit and many versions too. There are mortgage versions, credit card versions, general versions, auto versions, etc. And there are many different versions of each that I've mentioned. The versions are based on what risk you would be in each category. Some people may be responsible with credit cards but not auto loans, or vice versa. I suggest that you read all that you can about credit, it will definitely be very helpful to you in the future.

The auto insurers found a direct correlation between some aspects of your credit history to risk of making a claim on insurance.  Their score will not have the same weight in some areas as other types of loans.  As mentioned above there are 100's of different scoring systems based on your credit history.  And while you may not knwo the exact system used the Vantage score here in CK does give you a base line to know if you are doing something good or bad, and what might be corrected to make better scores.  Also as suggested read and learn all that you can so that you can avoid some of the pitfalls others have had to deal with.
