I need to obtain a $20K loan use $150K house (paid for) as collateral with a 6.0 credit score.

i am not familiar with a 6.0 credit scores. scores range from 300 to 850 in most models. personal loans in that amount require stellar credit, so if you don't have high that, then a mortgage may be your only option. your loan to value is really low, so that's good. assuming your credit is at least average and you can document your income, you might be able to get a equity line of credit or something to that effect. post your three digit credit score and we can go from there.
