Unfortunately, tax lien/judgment/collection/late payment dose not removed automaticlly after its paid, it only update to "paid", "released"... For better or worst? It is part of our credit history.

I have not found a effective way to remove State tax lien, however if it Fed tax lien? You can request it to be withdraw from your report, if the conditions are met,... Goto IRS dot gov, and search for Form 12277.
