On the regular credit reports (annualcreditreport.com) you will see the information on when accounts will fall off.  These old accounts that are being reported must have an outstanding payment record, which is something you want to see reported for as long as possible.  The item in Public Record should also have a fall-off date shown on the credit report.  That is a good reason for checking one's credit reports annually.
