Accounts closed in good standing usually remain on your reports for 10 years or longer from the closed date. If the account from 2007 was closed in good standing, be happy that it is still there. If it was closed in negative standing then you will most likely want to dispute it with the credit bureaus as too old to report. Most negative information stays on your reports for 7 years and positive information for 10 or more years. NEVER try to remove postive information from your credit reports, it would hurt your credit profile and scores.
