Unrequested credit card

If you have a card you didn't apply for and don't want, I think you should have the bank take care of that situation.  It probably caused a "hard hit" to your credit file, when it was issued.  There may be a bright side too. If the card has a decent credit limit, some modest use of it will actually help your credit scoring.  The hard hit caused a drop initially in your score, but it comes back with time.
