I have a 534 score & joined a credit union. Looking for 15-17,000 auto loan. Chances of approval?

You're chances of a bank giving you a 15,000-17,000 autoloan will almost be slim to none with that type of credit score, and if you were to be approved the interest rate alone they would charge you would not be worth it. You should first work on fixing your credit, whether that is paying off your current debt or if you have no debt then you should open a couple Secured Credit Card. At that credit score you're probably looking at least a year before your credit is high enough to be approved.
