Check your credit records!!

This site gets its information from Transunion, one of the three major credit reporting bureaus.  If you have not already done so, get your free credit reports and go over them carefully, filing disputes with them for any cards or other accounts that are not yours.  It is not unusual for errors to appear on credit reports but it is something we can do something about, and we should check our reports every year.

FYI- these cards are nothing to contact the police department about since the amounts will amount only to petty larceny, and that only if you were to pay the accounts which, since they are not yours, you shouldn't do.

Do you carry your Social Security card with you?  DON'T!!!  You don't need that card with you except on rare occasions.  Keep the card in a lock box.  It's a thief's gold mine.
