You need to give a little more info... are they bad accounts?  If it is a bad account it stays on your credit report for 7 years.  If it is a good standing account it will be there for 10 years.  If it is a bad then depending on a few factors like if it is paid or not, how old it is... there are different ways to try to get it off your report.  Give a little more information about the accounts your talking about.

Do some reading!!

Make sure that you do some extensive reading about credit before you start tampering with yours, you could make costly mistakes if you don't educate yourself first and by costly I mean financially, because if you damage your credit by tampering with it you will face higher rates or flat out denial of credit.

Now to answer your question, if the accounts were closed in good standing DO NOT try to remove them as they have a positive impact on your credit, if they are account closed in a negative standing or contain negative information, then you may want to try to remove them, if this is the case, reask your question with more details and then the proper advice can be given.
