Get all 3 credit reports!!!

Helpful to 4 out of 4 people

Do you think that just because someone showing on your credit report is someone your owe money to?? WRONG!!! There are often mistakes on credit reports and it is up to each of us to annually check and correct such mistakes.  Go to freecreditreport.com and get copies of all 3 credit reports.  Look them over very carefully and dispute all wrong information with the credit bureau that is reporting it.  You should soon get a revised credit report within a month.

Don't know how to dispute?  Most people don't.  Look in the left column of this page, find Resources, then find Articles and scroll through the articles to find the one on filing a Dispute. Follow those instructions.

One thing you do not want to do and that is pay someone else's debt, so making sure the accounts on your credit report are actually yours is important.  Please do so right away.  You'll be glad you did.
