I agree with Icuhowie, If you have $500-3,000 you can put in a savings account there are MANY credit card issuers that use it as security for your credit card, if in good standing, i think after 3 years, you may get the deposit back and be on credit again, details you'd need to find out from the issuer. The good thing is the credit bureaus see it as a credit card, not a secured card, so no one knows of your status with them. Your best bet is to get started back on re-establishing your credit as soon as possible.
