How should I handle this credit card account?
I have a USAA CC account opened Oct 2010 that is in a charge-off status with a balance of $9489 that is still reporting open. I am wanting to get a VA home loan within 1-2 years time and would like to know what's best. I can pay a settlement of around 4k right now or pay off the card over the course of 3 years in full. Any and all advice is welcome!

This account is going to show as a negative on your credit report and a charge off means they haven't been receiving payments over a long period of time and are considering this a bad debt for tax purposes.  I suggest getting your financial house in order now because negatives may just prevent you from getting that home loan you want.
