How long will it take for a collection from 2011 for $125 to drop off my report?

Short answer is 7 years from that date it was paid, as you would have learned from reading the articles here. You would learn a lot more useful information, too, as I did.

Unfortunately, it's NOT 7 years from the date it was paid. Paid or not has no relevance to when the collection account would be excluded from your credit report... Officially per FCRA, It's 7 years plus 180 days from Date Of First Delinquency, it dose NOT go by any other dates. Generally, credit bureaus would excluding them from your report in 7 years or bit less if you request a early exclusion.
