How long should you wait to apply for a credit card, with a 'fair' credit score, after being denied?
Currently looking to purchase a house but need to increase a "fair" credit score first, because of no credit history. Applied for a credit card to help build credit and was denied. How long should I wait before applying again?

If you have only one inquiry there's no need to wait. The key is applying for the right card, look for a card that's for fair credit (you can try looking on creditcards.com). Also you can open a secure credit card for a fee, or contact a credit union near you and ask about a secure loan for credit building.
