How long does it take for your credit report to update, just wondering because it's been a month

It can take up to 60 days

for items to be reported and cross reported across the big 3 credit bureaus.

Although, in general it is usually less than that.

Depends (not the diapers)

It all depends when the information was reported to the credit bureau, and when your information was pulled by the creditor. By the 2nd month, you should see something show up. It also depends on what kind of account you're setting up. Credit Cards can take 2 months to show up depending on the statement/application date.
