How long does it take for a public tax lien to be removed from report?
We have two tax lien's showing paid on our account one from 2010 and one from 2011 they have been paid is there a certain time frame they are on there for or can you have them removed?

7 years from date they are paid.  If they are IRS tax liens, you can file a form called "Application for Withdrawal of Filed Form 668(Y), Notice of Federal Tax Lien", form number 12277 and send it to IRS and they'll remove it.  You can try that as well with state tax liens, but not sure if there is a form.  Just send copy of release/payment to the taxing authority, send copies to all three credit bureaus.  It will take a 2-3 months, but with persistence you may get them off.
