How long do closed accounts remain on report?
After my divorce in 2009, my ex filed bankruptcy. Though our shared accounts were then closed, they have remained on my credit report... do they drop off at some point? Or, how can I remedy this? How much is it affecting my credit score?

Most negative accounts remain for seven years. Most accounts closed in good standing remain for ten years or more. If these accounts were closed in good standing, leave them alone, they are helping your credit. If they are negative accounts ask a new question and give some more info on your situation, just DO NOT include any  personal info.
