How long can a 3rd Party collector keep a Judgement?
Bonneville Collections has a judgment for about $4000 on a car that was volunteer repossessed in August of 2010. The Last payment made was Apr 2009 then May showed 30 days delinquent. So is it 7 years from one of these dates or 7 years from the date of the Judgement that was January 2015.

A judgement is a legal action as the result of a lawsuit by the collector and [as such, it remains on the credit report for tent years.  Judgements may be continued for ten more years, at creditor's discretion, though that seldom happens.
