7-10 years depending on the debt type

I would still follow up to make sure its off of your credit report and if not then dispute it so it can come off. Credit card bills, cable bills, cell phone bills are easier to come off than public records, tax liens (maybe never if not satisfied), and bankruptcies usually taking the full ten years.

The norm is 7 years. ( give or take a little then it depends on the type of debt also.)
