Minimum Score

The lowest credit score that you can get a mortgage with is 635. Down payment and a higher score will land you a much better rate but 635 is the lowest lenders are allow to approve.

750 to get the best interest rates

Helpful to 1 out of 1 people

A 750 or better score and a 20% down payment will get you the best interest rates. You can still qualify for a mortgage at 700 and above, but you will pay more for it.
