If you have more medical debt than you can afford to pay, you may want to check with the service provider(s) to see if they have any assistance for you. Many hospitals have programs to help people that cannot afford their medical bills, you may also want to check with your local welfare office to see if your state has any programs that can help you. Do some research to see if any other help is offered by any other organizations in your state. Beyond that, if you can't afford to pay them, you don't pay them and check into bankruptcy if you have to.
