The IRS tax lien will be removed when the debt is full paid or when the Statute of Limitations on that exact period of the liability is expired, which is usually ten years from the final tax assessment. However, if you need to refinance your property, it is possible to ask the IRS to subordinate the lien. Subordination does not remove the lien, it just allows your bank to be paid before the IRS if you ever decide to sell this property. If this is what you are trying to achieve, you can visit us at http://www.2020taxdebthelp.com/irs-tax-lien.php and get a free consultation.
